Pick-up from your hotel at 8:00 AM for your 5-day trip from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert. Departure from Marrakech via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, where we will cross the Atlas Mountains, stopping to enjoy the magnificent views along the way.
In Ouarzazate, you can visit the film studios where numerous famous movies have been filmed, if you wish. Next, we will discover the village of Skoura, located in the heart of the Valley of the Palms. We will take a walk through the vast and labyrinthine oasis, whose lush vegetation shelters beautiful, hidden kasbahs. You can also visit one of these kasbahs.
From here, we will continue through the Valley of Roses (famous for its rose cultivation) towards the Dades Valley, with its interesting geological formations. Dinner and overnight stay in a beautiful mountain hotel by the Dades River.
Day 2
Valle del Dades – Gargantas del Todra - Erfoud – Merzouga
Early morning departure for the desert routes, continuing towards Tinghir and visiting the Todra Gorges (15 km from Tinghir), lunch on site. In the afternoon, departure for the city of Erfoud, passing through the Tinjdad palm grove, the Touroug palm grove, and the city of Erfoud.
Visit to a fossil marble workshop. Continue to the impressive dunes of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi). Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3
Merzouga - Khamlia - Erg Chebbi (Desert)
This will be a stage where, after breakfast, we'll travel along the track used in the Paris-Dakar Rally, visiting desert nomads with whom we'll share tea andsee the oasis where films like "Sahara," starring Penélope Cruz, were filmed. We'll visit the village of "the Blacks," so named because of the slave trade brought from Sudan.
And after lunch, we'll trade the 4x4 for animal traction. The dromedaries will take us deeper into the desert dunes so we can witness an unforgettable sunset. This night will be special; we'll sleep in the dunes in nomadic tents (Jaimas), just like the Berbers do.
Here, we'll enjoy a Berber dinner, music, and a starry sky like you've never seen before. Dinner and accommodation in an unforgettable Jaima.
Day 4
Erg Chebbi - Rissani - Nkob – Ouarzazate
Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise and climb the dunes, then have breakfast and continue to Ouarzazate via Rissani, where we'll stop briefly to visit its traditional souk, considered the largest in all of southern Morocco. We'll continue towards the beautiful Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees. In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Ouarzazate.
Day 5
Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Breakfast and departure for Marrakech, crossing the Tizi Tichka pass again, at an altitude of approximately 2,260 meters, the "pass of the pastures," the highest road pass in Morocco.
Although subject to very strong winds, the high meadows perched on the slopes of the High Atlas Mountains serve as pastures in summer. En route, we will visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and undoubtedly the best-preserved fortified village (ksar). Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
